PSHE (inc. RSE)

Flourishing in today’s society.

Introduction

We aim to equip children with the knowledge, skills and attitudes they need to understand themselves and others, develop positive relationships and become responsible, caring members of society.

At St Mary’s, Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) education plays a vital role in supporting the personal and social development of all pupils.  We encourage pupils to express their views, develop emotional awareness through mindfulness and learn how to keep themselves safe in an ever-changing world. Using the Jigsaw scheme, we provide a comprehensive programme that integrates PSHE, emotional literacy, social skills, mindfulness and spiritual development, helping every child to recognise their own value and develop confidence in who they are.
