Overflowing with Thankfulness, Inspiration and Joy

Willow - Y1

Hi everyone

We hope you are well rested and have enjoyed the Easter break. The children have all returned taller and eager to learn. Please check out the curriculum newsletter for the Summer term to find out what we will be learning about. Homework will continue to be reading daily (if possible), Lexia/Numbots 2 x week (20 mins) and spellings on Seesaw. Any problems with accessing any of these apps/sites please let me know.

PE will now be swimming on a Monday afternoon and outside PE with Watford Football club coaches on a Friday afternoon. Please ensure children have swimming kits on Monday and PE kit in school for Friday.

As you are already aware, the children in Year 1 will have a Phonics screening test in June so please practise at home and play the games suggested in my meeting (Powerpoint is also on the website.)

Any problems or concerns please contact me.

Hi everyone

Welcome back after half term. We hope you all had a good rest and the children are ready for lots of new learning :) I cannot believe that we are half way through Year 1 already! The children have really grown in independence and are making good progress with their learning and we are looking forward to the rest of the year.

This half term our value is 'Forgiveness' and we will be talking to the the children about what this means to us and to Christians. I have sent you all a message on Seesaw showing what we will be learning for the next half term. Please check Seesaw regularly as this is where we will post homework and share work from school.

P.E continues to be on a Tuesday and Friday and please ensure that children have their PE kit and suitable shoes for PE on these days.

As always, please come to see us with any questions or concerns.

Welcome to Willow Class

We hope you have all had a restful Summer. The children have all come back to school full of enthusiasm and are keen to learn! We are very excited about the year ahead and are looking forward to getting to know your children and watching them develop into independent learners.

Our value this half term is 'Respect'. We will be taking part in some exciting activities to show each other the importance of this value.

Please check our class page regularly as we will be sharing our learning and uploading important information (see the Key Information and Notices section below) throughout the year so please take time to read these updates.

In our 'Gallery' section, you will find updates of what we have been up to in our learning.

If you have any questions, please speak to one of the class team.
