Overflowing with Thankfulness, Inspiration and Joy

School Council

The main aim of the School Council is to help to make our school a better place for the children and to give us an opportunity to have our opinions and ideas heard. Each class from Year One upwards has two representatives who are chosen at the beginning of each term.

In 'normal' times we would meet every two weeks and Yr 6 representatives would chair the meeting and take minutes. At the moment, due to staying in our 'Bubbles', we are only meeting within our 'Bubbles' and cannot meet as a whole group.

The class representatives tell the children in their classes what has been discussed at each meeting and the children can ask the representatives to take forward their ideas to the next meeting.

Everybody gets a fair say in the meetings and nobody gets left out.

We have already thought about charities we would like to support this year and have chosen Guide Dogs for the Blind as our charity for this academic year. Further details to follow on fundraising events for this charity! In addition we will support Children in Need and other national fundraising events.
