Welcome to the Luther King Class Page! Our teachers this school year are Mrs Stoughton and Mrs Hutchinson and our teaching assistants are Mrs Brooks and Mrs Smyth.

Our PE Days are Monday and Friday - on these days, children come to school in their PE kits.

History

Telling the Time

  • Learn to tell the time (External Link) Read the time on an analogue clock. Lots of choices over levels, including: reading time to the nearest hour, half-hour, quarter-hour, five minutes or minute. Options include using a 24-hour clock and seeing how many correct answers you can get in a given time.

  • Telling the time in words (External Link) Tell the time in words. Use language such as 'o'clock', 'half past' and 'quarter to'.

  • Find the Start Time (External Link) Find the correct time on an analogue or digital clock. Lots of choice of level, including: subtracting 1 hour, multiples of 5, or 10 minutes or subtracting multiples of a quarter of an hour.

  • Adding Time Word Problems (External Link) Read the time on either an analogue or digital clock and then answer a word problem involving adding a given time. Find the correct time on an analogue or digital clock. Lots of choices of level, including: adding 1 hour, multiples of 5, or 10 minutes or adding multiples of a quarter of an hour.

  • Using a calendar (External Link) Answer word problems using a calendar. This new version will work on any tablet or computer.
