Introduction
At St Mary’s Primary School, we provide a dynamic and inclusive mathematics curriculum that supports all pupils in developing a deep understanding of mathematical concepts.
Using the Concrete–Pictorial–Abstract (CPA) mastery approach and the White Rose Maths scheme, we ensure that learning is carefully sequenced to build knowledge and skills progressively across the school. Our curriculum encourages children to explore, reason and apply mathematics confidently in a range of contexts, including real-life situations. We aim to foster a love of maths by nurturing curiosity, resilience and self-belief, enabling all pupils to develop as confident and capable mathematicians who are well-prepared for the future.
