16.03.18 This week was Science week and we have really enjoyed investigating bubbles and colours. We have been exploring colouring mixing and what happens to our mixture when we add vinegar,bicarbonate of soda and washing up liquid. We especially loved it when our parents and carers came in for an afternoon of mad science!

09.02.18. What a busy week! This week we having been exploring ice and what happens when we bring it indoors. We have built dens in the garden and also been paleontologists. We were so surprised when a big green egg appeared in our classroom. What could it be? We finished off this half term with a fairytale tea party. We are looking forward to next half term already!
02.02.18 This week we made our own porridge just like the three bears did! We tried different toppings such as golden syrup, brown sugar and honey. It tasted delicious! In the garden we designed dinosaur land and the next day some dinosaurs had hatched from some eggs! We are getting so good at writing now, have you seen what we have written?

05.01.18 This week we have been busy building towers for Rapunzel. We have made some magical wands and measured them to find out which wand was the longest. We were very excited when our new Beebots arrived and we have been learning how to program them to send them on a journey. We loved it when our mummies and daddies came to read us a story!

08.01.18 This week we have enjoyed listening to some traditional tales. We have made a magical role play area, dressed up as characters from the stories and made some gingerbread men. We built a castle in our garden that even had a draw bridge!

We have been busy making a Christmas cake! We weighed,chopped,stirred and mixed together our ingredients.
Christmas has arrived in Oak class!
What an exciting week! On Wednesday we all came to school wearing odd socks to raise awareness of anti bullying week. In Oak class we talked about what makes us different and what makes us special. We thought about how we should treat people and who we could tell if we are not happy about how somebody has treated us. We have also been enjoying the story of Owl Babies by Martin Waddell and have learnt lots of owl facts. Ask us what we know about owls! Also this week our new touch screen arrived!
The workmen's power tools were very noisy!
We had great fun on Friday raising money for Children in Need by coming to school dressed in spots. We spent the day taking part in lots of fun activities with the children from other classes.
This week we have been enjoying the stories about Percy the Park Keeper and we have even built our own park in our classroom! We have learnt about the different woodland animals and found out about those animals that hibernate and migrate during winter. We finished off our week by making poppy wreaths. Ask us about what we know about Remembrance day!
